Podcast: The Giggle Loop #09 - Superteams Last All Summer Long

Not a lot of our listeners may know that I usually (Read: up till now) spent an inordinate amount of time editing the podcast. I used to remove "ums" and "ahs" and long pauses, as well as edited content that made us seem drunkenly foolish (usually at the tail end of the podcast). The last few podcasts however (in their rough, uncut form) have been unwieldy and were beginning to take 3 and 4 sessions of me sitting in front of my laptop for hours a piece, chopping stuff out. This was taking me WAY too long and eating up my free time. So upon having listened to a few other folks podcasts since then that were left pretty much as recorded...I've decided to do the same from here on out.

So here it is, the long awaited 9th episode of The Giggle Loop Podcast, titled (you will notice the titles have changed as well) Superteams Last All Summer Long.

Enjoy!

Podcast: The Giggle Loop #08 - Comic Cons, The Hunger Games, & U.S. TV V.S. UK TV

Drone: Scott, the podcast is late.

Me: What do you mean late? Had we decided on specific time frame for releasing these?

Drone: It matters not. You have so far stuck to a monthly basis.
It is now late. There was no podcast in the month of March.

Me: I know, but things come up and it’s difficult to get it edited and posted. I'm only a couple of weeks behind.

Drone: There is no excuse for a late podcast. You recorded it in March. Your audience is awaiting it and when it is late, they will get antsy.

Me: Antsy?

Drone: Agitated.

Me: Agitated? Come on don’t be so melodramatic.

Drone:
I am not a human; I do not have the capacity to be melodramatic.

Me: I beg to differ.

Drone: You have 30 seconds to comply and post the podcast.

Me: Or what?

Drone: I release Nanomachines into your brain.

So here it is folks. The latest Edition of The Giggle Loop, in which Chris and I discuss a myriad of topics, beginning with out latest trip to a local Comic Con, the phenomenon of THE HUGER GAMES and we even get into a lengthy discussion of American TV V.S. UK Telly programs and how they stack up against one another. It’s full of debate, interesting theories and opinions and even a little booze.

Note: This week the podcast jumped to almost an hour and a half, but we will try to contain our time to the proper hour as much as possible in future...mostly because editing it takes that much longer.

So sit back, pop in your headphones, and enjoy the insanity.

Podcast: The Giggle Loop #07 - Sherlock, Spiderman Web Shooters, & Rants

I'm a day or so late with this post, but that is because I needed the time to sit down and edit this one. It's time again for another rollicking edition of our Podcast! Okay, okay, settle down. There's no need to cheer...honestly.

Well okay then.

So this is a pretty TV/Film-heavy episode, but we touch briefly on books and a few other notions. Hopefully we entertain you though, which is all we can hope for. Personally I feel that this is the best of our existing podcasts, and we simply found an ebb and flow this time. It's also a tad longer than normal, but we can definitely vouch for it being time well-spent.

So, without further ado.

Podcast: The Giggle Loop #06 - Alcatraz, DC Logo-polis, & The Wheel Of Time

Oh yes, it is that time again folks. It’s time for another installment of our Podcast The Giggle Loop, where Chris and I talk discuss debate argue about the nooks and crannies of the wide world of popular culture. This time we discuss TV with new J.J. Abrams show ALCATRAZ, The new DC Comics logo, and even get into a bit of a convo about THE WHEEL OF TIME, amongst many other things.

Please note: This Podcast was meant to include our interview with Riyria Revelations author Michael J. Sullivan. When we interviewed Michael, we ended up having such a good discussion that time got entirely away from us. So instead of making the podcast more than twice as long, we have decided to post the interview in its entirety (which clocks in at around 1hr 30min) as a separate audio upload next week (probably Monday or Tuesday). So please stay tuned for that as it gives some good insight into the Indie-turned-major-published author.

Until then, we give you the Podcast that we know you love where Chris and I ramble (somewhat coherently) about things.

Awesome Sidenote: We finally went legit and purchased ourselves a microphone, which I think you will notice makes us sound much clearer. Huzzah!

Doh! Sidenote: The intro music is very long this time. I meant to only edit a 30 second snippet in, and ended up throwing the whole 1min thing in accidentally and didn't notice till it was uploaded. Sorry about that folks. It will be fixed next time.

Podcast: The Giggle Loop #05 - 2011 In Review, Aliens, and 2012-ery (Christmas Edition)

Well, it's that time again. Time for Chris and I to ramble in your ears for another hour. In this, the Christmas Edition, we talk about the Best Of TV and Movies this past year. We also talk about inanities like the ALIENS franchise and what order we rank them in, which ties forward into discussion about a number of things that we are looking forward to in 2012, one of which is the pesudo-prequel PROMETHEUS. We also ramble about assorted other randomness, and even DOCTOR WHO briefly.

So sit back, relax and let our honeyed, angelic voices fill your earholes.
