They are smart enough to be able to war with the Time Lords to stalemate...they can surely manufacture new Dalek solidery.GunMetalBluehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10374362891687088611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8344853420220777382.post-36584415714884524452012-09-05T07:27:16.060-07:002012-09-05T07:27:16.060-07:00I guess I stand corrected. The majority of these were killed in the finale of JOURNEY'S END, but as is evidenced in Series 5, some escaped and created the new Paradigm Daleks (the colourful ones), who in turn manufactured many more Daleks (old style and new style) which now populate Skaro's remnants. BAsically locking the Time War out of reality did not lock ALL the Daleks up, nor the ability they've always had to make more Daleks with subjugated, mutated people from other worlds.

I don't think we needed to see anything further about their problems. It was clear in ASYLUM that they stemmed from Amy's upset that she could not have any more children and she felt Rory did. There wasn't much more to it than that. POND LIFE explained that they were on the rocks...and the first ep told us why. Problemo solved.

GunMetalBluehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10374362891687088611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8344853420220777382.post-56653405984289684982012-09-05T06:21:34.326-07:002012-09-05T06:21:34.326-07:00I feel a little different about this episode. Firs...I feel a little different about this episode. First, I couldn't get past the daleks not being in a time lock all of the sudden. What happened to the time lock? How did this very alive and current empire currently break out.

Second, Pond Life didn't quite prepare the stage for The Pond's problems. It didn't quite feel quite real. Although I loved that aspect of their story. Brings new life to their story.

I like the idea that the daleks no longer remember the doctor. Although, it makes me nervous that this will extend to the rest of the world. Although "The Wedding of River Song" was a kitchen sink of a mess, I liked the part near the end where River tells the doctor that he is loved. The doctor needs reminders of this. His self loathing is such that he just can't quite believe it.

Overrall, it was ok and I am excited about Oswin!Morrigan Alexandroshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12275352422711458924noreply@blogger.com
